Apple Pie

I've been tasked with making pies for Christmas, so where better to turn?



  • 1 cup Sugar, more if apples are very tart
  • 12 cup Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 12 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon, heaping

Step 1

Filling: Melt butter and stir in flour, sugar, and cinnamon to make a thick coating.


  • 7 Apples, peeled and sliced roughly 1/4 inch thick

Step 2

Stir apples into melted butter/sugar mix to coat. Pour into uncooked Pie Crust.


  • 4 tablespoons Butter, softened
  • 12 cup Sugar
  • 13 cup Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 12 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Step 3

Topping: Mix softened butter, sugar, flour, and cinnamon with a pastry blender until it is a dry crumbly topping. Distribute this topping on top of pie.

Step 4

Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking another 45-60 minutes.


  • 1 cup Whipping Cream
  • 14 cup Powdered Sugar

Step 5

Whip powdered sugar into cream and beat until fluffy. Serve pie with fresh whipped cream.
