Makes: 8 servings adjust

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and finely diced
  • 13 cup Brown Sugar
  • 12 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Egg, beaten

Step 1

Dice Apples. Stir together sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over apples. Mix in beaten egg. Toss well to mix.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • 17 14 ounces Package Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed
  • 4 teaspoons Butter

Step 3

Unfold puff pastry sheets, repair any cracks by pressing them back together. Trim each sheet into a square. Then cut each larger square into 4 smaller squares. Spoon 1 Tbsp of apple mixture onto the center of each square. Cut butter into small squares, place one onto each apple square. Fold over from corner to corner into a triangle shape, and press edges together to seal. Place turnovers on a baking sheet, leaving about 1" between them.

Step 4

Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until turnovers are puffed and lightly browned. Cool completely before glazing.

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step 5

To make the glaze, mix together the sugar, milk and vanilla in a small bowl. Adjust the thickness by adding more sugar or milk if necessary. Drizzle glaze over the cooled turnovers.
