Banana Bread

Banana Bread

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.


  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 8 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 2 Eggs

Step 2

Cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.


  • 4 Ripe Bananas
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Mix in the milk and cinnamon.


  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Step 4

In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Step 5

Add the banana mixture to the butter mixture and stir until combined. Add dry ingredients, mixing just until flour disappears.

Step 6

Pour the batter into the prepared bread pan and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes. Set aside to cool on a rack for 15 minutes. Remove bread from pan, invert onto a rack and cool completely before slicing.

Step 7

For perfectly sliced bread: turn the loaf upside down and slice.
