Basic Pesto

Basic pesto made in blender or food processor. Can be frozen if needed.



  • 2 cups Fresh Basil, blanched
  • 12 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Pine Nuts, toasted lightly
  • 2 cloves Garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Step 1

Blend in blender at high speed or food processor, scraping bowl occasionally.


  • 12 cup Parmesan Cheese, fresh grated
  • 2 tablespoons Pecorino Romano Cheese, fresh grated

Step 2

Scrape basil mixture into a bowl and hand blend in the cheeses.

Step 3

Can be frozen. Package in single-use sizes in a zip bag and remove as much air as possible.
