Bourbon BBQ Sauce

  • 2 cups Kentucky Bourbon

Step 1

Taste Bourbon to be sure it is up to your standards. Pour 1 cup Bourbon into a saucepan and set aside remaining Bourbon. Bring Bourbon to boil and reduce to about 2 tbsp. Don't let the alcohol flame. Taste the unused Bourbon to make sure it hasn't gone bad.


  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Malt Vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons Dark Molasses

Step 2

Add 1/2 cup Bourbon and and the other ingredients. Simmer over a low heat for 30 minutes and reduce by about 1/3. Use it immediately or bottle it and keep it in the fridge for a month or more. Drink remaining Bourbon.
