Buttermilk Biscuits

Traditional homemade biscuits.



  • 2 cups Cake Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 12 teaspoon Baking Soda

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients.


  • 5 teaspoons Butter

Step 2

Cut in butter with fork or pastry blender.


  • 23 cup Buttermilk

Step 3

Stir in buttermilk.

Step 4

Turn out on floured bread board or wax paper. Knead lightly 30 seconds. Press dough into sheet about 3/8" thick.

Step 5

Cut into circles with biscuit cutter or drinking glass. Bake at 450-degrees 10 minutes.
