Buttermilk Chive Biscuits

Step 1



  • 1 12 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 12 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 12 teaspoon Salt

Step 2

In a large bowl or food processor fitted with a metal blade. combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.


  • 12 cup Buttermilk, plus 2 tablespoons
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Chives, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted

Step 3

In a small bowl combine buttermilk, chives and butter. Add to dry mixture and mix together (with hands) or pulse in a food processor until a manageable dough is formed.

Step 4

Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead 1 minute. Roll dough out to 1/2" thickness and, using a biscuit cutter or upside down glass, cut 8 biscuits (about 3" in diameter). Transfer buiscuits to a baking sheet that has been coated with cooking spray.

Step 5

Bake 10-12 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown.
