Cherry & Walnut Cookies

A sweet, delectable, chewy cookie that might even be good for you, but I'm not telling.



  • 12 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 14 cup Oil
  • 12 teaspoon Vanilla

Step 1

Beat the sugar, oil and vanilla together.


  • 2 tablespoons Ground Flax Seed
  • 4 tablespoons Water

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the water and flax until frothy and sticky.


  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 dash Salt

Step 3

Add flax seed mixture to the sugar and oil mixture, along with the cinnamon, baking soda and salt.


  • 1 12 cups Raisin Bran Cereal
  • 12 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 12 cup Whole Wheat Flour

Step 4

Add the cereal and flour. Mix well.


  • 13 cup Walnut Pieces
  • 13 cup Dried Cherries

Step 5

Stir in the walnuts and cherries.

Step 6

Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350* for 11 minutes. Let sit on the cookie sheet for five minutes before removing to cooling rack.
