Chicken And Dumplings

  • 12 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs

Step 1

Whisk together the milk and eggs. Set aside.


  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 12 cups Flour
  • 12 teaspoon Salt

Step 2

Sift together the baking powder, flour, and salt. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix, being careful not to overmix. Set the dumpling batter aside.


  • 1 cup Half and Half
  • 12 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 5 cups Chicken Stock
  • 12 teaspoon Salt

Step 3

In a pot, combine the stock, half and half, pepper, thyme, bay leaf and 1/2 tsp of salt and bring to a boil.


  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 14 cup Chicken Stock
  • 2 cups Shredded Cooked Chicken
  • 2 cups Frozen Mixed Veggies, peas, carrots, corn

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk flour with the chicken stock. Whisk the flour mixture into the stock mixture. Add the chicken and mixed veggies and return to a boil.


  • *optional* Fresh Parsley, chopped

Step 5

Using a tablespoon, drop scoops of the dumpling batter into the boiling liquid. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
