Chicken Drumsticks With Sweet Potatoes And Pineapple

  • 2 medium Dark Orange Sweet Potatoes, peeled, sliced, about 3 cups
  • 1 can Canned Pineapple Tidbits, 8oz, unsweetened juice, undrained
  • 12 cup Chicken Broth
  • 14 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Root, grated, if desired

Step 1

In 3 1/2 - 4 quart slow cooker, combine sweet potatoes, pineapple with liquid, broth, onion, and gingerroot; mix well.


  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 12 teaspoon Ground Dry Mustard
  • 8 Chicken Drumsticks (Legs), skin removed

Step 2

In small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, and dry mustard; mix well. Coat chicken drumsticks well with barbecue sauce mixture. Arrange chicken in single layer over potato mixture in slow cooker, overlapping slightly if necessary. Spoon any remaining barbecue sauce over chicken.

Step 3

Cover; cook on low setting for 7-10 hours.
