Plenty of chips to go around.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 34 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 12 teaspoon Salt

Step 2

Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into a medium sized bowl; set aside.

  • 2 Unsalted Butter, slightly softened sticks
  • 1 12 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs, cold
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Step 3

In a large bowl, mix butter and brown sugar until smooth. Blend in eggs and vanilla until slightly curdled (approx 1 minute).

  • 3 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Step 4

Blend in dry ingredients on low speed. Then mix in 2 cups of the chocolate chips.

Step 5

Roll 2 tablespoons dough to form a ball, then flatten to make a 2" disc, and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Make a total of 16 discs, placing 8 on 2 sheets. and spacing discs 4" apart.

Step 6

Press 1 Tbsp of the remaining chocolate chips lightly into the center of each disc, leaving a 1/4" plain edge. With the remaining dough, make 16 more discs, placing one on top of each chocolate chip-topped disc. Press dough discs together gently to cover any chips peeking around the edges.

Step 7

Bake one baking sheet at a time until their edges are lightly brown and centers golden (approx 15 mins).

Step 8

Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool.
