Makes: 15 servings adjust

  • 12 ounces Cranberries, 1 bag, fresh
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple, cored, peeled and diced small
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 12 cup Cointreau, or could substitute grand marnier
  • 12 cup Water
  • 14 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon Ground Cloves

Step 1

Combine cranberries, apple, sugar, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, water, ground cinnamon and cloves in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Bring to a boil; Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until many of the berries have popped, about 10-15 minutes.

  • 1 Lemon, zested
  • 1 Orange, zested

Step 3

Off the heat, stir in the lemon and orange zest.

Step 4

Allow to cool a bit and transfer to a storage container. Refrigerate until ready to use. Note: Can be made several days in advance as it keeps well in the refrigerator.
