Confectioners Icing

Confectioners icing for Christmas cookies, this will dry to a crunchy texture for decorating cookies like gingerbread men.



  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 14 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 dash Salt

Step 1

Beat egg white mixture until stiff peaks will hold.


  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar, sifted

Step 2

Blend in vanilla and sugar until soft peaks will hold.

Step 3

Decorate cookies or gingerbread house with this icing in a pastry bag, or use a ziploc bag with the corner snipped off as a substitute.
