Cream Chipped Beef on Toast

Directions

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1⁄2 cup 2% Lowfat Milk

Step 1

Melt butter over low heat. Add flour and whisk into a thick roux. Add milk slowly, whisking away lumps. Will thicken as it simmers.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 dash Cayenne Pepper
  • 1⁄3 pound Deli Sliced Roast Beef, julienned

Step 2

Add small dash of cayenne and the roast beef, stirring until roast beef is warm.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Artisan Whole Grain Bread, toasted

Step 3

Toast bread. Serve creamed beef on toast.
