Easy Baked Orange French Toast

Easy make-ahead recipe. Flavorful even with only a dab of syrup.

Directions

 

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400.

Ingredients

  • 12 cup Butter, Melted
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 14 cup Honey

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the butter, honey, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Mix well.
 

Step 3

Pour mixture evenly into 2 ungreased 15x10x1 inch baking pans.

Ingredients

  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 14 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Grated Orange Peel
  • 12 teaspoon Salt
  • 12 teaspoon Cinnamon

Step 4

In a medium bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add milk, orange juice, sugar, orange peel, salt, and 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix well.

Ingredients

  • 16 Whole Wheat Bread

Step 5

Dip bread in egg mixture. Place on margarine mixture in pans. Pour any remaining egg mixture over bread. At this point the bread can be covered and refrigerated overnight prior to continuing to next step. Or bake as directed below.
 

Step 6

Bake for 10 minutes. Turn slices over. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 2 Sliced Oranges

Step 7

Arrange on serving platter with orange slices.
