A real comfort food - this pan fried chicken and gravy is a wonderful winter meal.

Directions

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice

Step 1

Begin to cook rice by whatever is your typical means.

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken, Frying chicken, cut up

Step 2

Wash and dry chicken well.

Ingredients

  • 1 12 teaspoons Salt
  • 12 cup Flour
  • 14 teaspoon Pepper

Step 3

Combine and coat chicken with mixture. (Shaking it in a bag works well). Reserve remaining mixture.

Ingredients

  • 12 cup Canola Oil

Step 4

Brown chicken in oil at 350 degrees in skillet.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Boiling Water

Step 5

Reduce temperature to 210 degrees, add boiling water, cover and cook for 45 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk

Step 6

Remove chicken, blend in remaining flour, add milk and stir until thickened. Serve with Rice.
