Directions

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pinto Beans, dry
  • 5 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Step 1

Place pinto beans in a slow cooker, completely cover with water. Mix in garlic and salt. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.

  • 12 pound Bacon, diced

Step 2

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium high heat until evenly brown, but still tender. Drain half the fat.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes, diced
  • 3 12 ounces Jalapeno Pepper, canned, sliced

Step 3

Place onion in the skillet and cook until tender. Mix tomatoes and jalapenos, cook until heated through. Transfer to the slow cooker, stirring into the beans. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Beer
  • 13 cup cilantro, chopped

Step 4

Mix in the beer and cilantro about 30 minutes before the end of the cook time.
