Garlic and Greens

  • 1 head Garlic, divided into cloves, peeled, and lightly crushed. We're going to be removing them, so keep them as intact as possible.
  • 4 tablespoons Canola Oil

Step 1

Heat oil in a saute pan over medium-low heat. Add garlic cloves and saute until the garlic is just beginning to brown, a few minutes. Remove garlic from pan. The garlic can be saved in a jar in the refrigerator and added to salsas or sauces.


  • 1 bunch Mustard Greens, washed and torn apart roughly. Any leafy vegetable can be used like spinach, collard greens, kale, chard, etc.

Step 2

Turn the heat up to medium and saute the greens until they just begin to wilt. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
