Ginger Snaps

Simple ginger snap cookies.



  • 34 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar


  • 1 Egg, beaten lightly
  • 14 cup Light Molasses

Step 2

Add molases and egg.


  • 2 cups Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, sifted
  • 14 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 12 teaspoon Ground Ginger

Step 3

Mix in dry ingredients.


  • 12 cup Sugar, or enough to coat cookies

Step 4

Form into balls roughly 1-inch and roll in sugar. Bake at 350-degrees for 7-8 minutes.
