Glazed Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 slabs Baby Back Pork Ribs, 1 3/4 pounds each
  • 4 quarts Water
  • 14 cup Liquid Smoke
  • Pepper Jelly Sauce
  • 1 cup Apricot Preserves, For Pepper Jelly Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oil, For Pepper Jelly Sauce
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, small, seeded and chopped, For Pepper Jelly Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar, For Pepper Jelly Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Dry Mustard, For Pepper Jelly Sauce

Step 1

Sauce: In a small saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat. Add the jalapeno and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
 

Step 2

Sauce Cont: Add the apricot jelly, cider vinegar, mustard and hot sauce and cook until the jelly is melted.
 

Step 3

Ribs: ring water to a boil in a large pot. Add liquid smoke and add the ribs. After the ribs boil for 45 minutes (or until the meat is tender), take them out and place them in a large rectangular casserole baking dish.
 

Step 4

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Baste with glaze, then bake for 20 minutes. Baste again after 10 minutes. Cut into portions and serve.
