Grilled Avocado Sammies

Yummy hot grilled avocado sammies with garlicky mayo and melted cheese. mmmmm....



  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 clove Garlic, medium sized

Step 1

Crush garlic very well and add it to the mayo. Set aside.


  • 1 Avocado, large
  • 1 Roma Tomato, firm, thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch Salt & Pepper

Step 2

Cut the avocado in half, remove pit and peel. Slice the avocado (each slice should be about 1/4 inch thick). Season the tomato slices with salt and pepper.


  • 4 slices Whole Grain Bread
  • 4 tablespoons Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 14 Red Onion, very thinly sliced

Step 3

Spread the garlic mayo on each slice of bread. On two pieces of bread, sprinkle the cheese (about 1 tablespoon on each slice). Top with half the avocado slices on each sandwich, then with the tomato slices & onion. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top. And finally add the other pieces of bread on the sandwich.

Step 4

Add butter to a non stick pan and melt. Grill sandwiches until golden brown and the cheese is melted, as you would a grilled cheese. Add more butter if needed when flipping sandwiches. Don't smash the sandwiches down, or else the avocado will squish out of it.
