Grilled Halibut |
|
Submitted by: Sam Kinney
Very simple, this preparation showcases the natural mild flavor of fresh halibut.
Directions |
Ingredients
Step 1
Cut halibut fillet into strips roughly 1 inch thick. Leave skin on. These strips will allow the halibut to be cooked over high heat on its side, presenting a uniform thickness to the grill, and thus, a uniform cooking time.

Ingredients
Step 2
Mix marinade ingredients and marinade halibut at least 1/2 hour before grilling.
|
Step 3
Grill over high heat. Skin will fall off, and pieces may break, so turn carefully. Ideally, grill marks will be light to medium brown. Remove from heat and cover with foil, letting rest 2-3 minutes.

Step 4
Serve if desired with tartar sauce.
