Ham and Cheese Strata

Directions

 

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Whole Wheat Italian Bread, 1 inch cubes, about 8 oz
  • 1 box Frozen Broccoli Florets, 10 oz, thawed and coarsely chopped
  • 12 cup Roasted Red Peppers, the kind in a jar
  • 4 Scallions, sliced
  • 6 ounces Deli Sliced Cooked Ham, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Step 2

Coat a shallow 2 qt baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Spread half the bread cubes over bottom. Cover with half the broccoli, ham, peppers, scallions and cheese. Repeat layer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 6 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard
  • 14 teaspoon Pepper

Step 3

Whisk eggs, milk, mustard and pepper in large bowl to blend; pour evenly over strata.
 

Step 4

Bake uncovered 50-60 mins until puffed and golden and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 mins before serving. Or cover strata with foil and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight, the bake as above.
