Hershey Bar Layer Cake

  • 1 box Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix

Step 1

Bake cake according to directions on the box and split into two round 9 inch pans with a 2 inch side. Be sure the pans are greased.


  • 6 Hershey Bars with nuts

Step 2

Use an electric chopper or other method to finely chop the chocolate bars. Set 1/2 cup aside.


  • 1 container Cool Whip
  • 1 package Cream Cheese, (softened)

Step 3

Use an electric hand mixer to blend the Cool Whip and cream cheese until smooth. Use a spatula to fold in the chocolate shavings.


  • 1 bottle Caramel Topping, (Squeeze bottle is most convenient)

Step 4

When cakes are completely cooled, place one on your cake plate. Spread 1 cup of the icing mixture thickly across the top and place other cake on top. Finish icing the cake and use the 1/2 cup of chopped chocolate to decorate the top. Drizzle caramel sauce across top, letting some of it drip down the sides.

Step 5

Store in refrigerator in an airtight container.
