Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

A homemade chicken noodle soup recipe. What can easily take hours is made quick and simple without sacrificing taste (IMHO).

Directions

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • White Onion, Chop finely

Step 1

Saute onions and garlic until brown (but not burnt).

Ingredients

  • Celery, Sliced medium
  • Carrot, Sliced medium

Step 2

Add cut up celery and carrots. Cook just to mix the flavors (a minute or two).

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts Water
  • 2 12 tablespoons Chicken Soup Base
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth

Step 3

Put water, chicken base, and chicken broth into large soup pot. Bring to a boil.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Wide Egg Noodles, From the frozen section

Step 4

Add sauteed vegetables and egg noodles. Cook until noodles are done.

Ingredients

  • 1 Chicken, Take all of the meat off of the chicken. I generally only use the white meat.

Step 5

Add pre-roasted chicken and let simmer. 10-20 should be sufficient but the longer the better.
 

Step 6

Salt and pepper to taste (I like a lot of pepper, I mean A LOT).
