Hot & Cheesy Mushroom On Toast

  • 16 slices 1/2" Thick French Bread
  • 4 tablespoons Butter

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. Line a large baking sheet with foil. Lightly butter both sides of bread using 4 tablespoons of the butter. Arrange on baking sheet. Bake 5 minutes, turning once, or until slightly brown on both sides. Remove from oven & set aside.


  • 16 1.5" Mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice

Step 2

Clean mushrooms thoroughly and dry. Gently twist stems to remove. Gently toss in lemon juice. Drain.


  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Step 3

Place 2 tablespoons butter in bowl. Add mushroom caps and toss again. Place one cap on each slice of bread "stem" side up.


  • 1 large Egg
  • 12 Blue Cheese Crumbles

Step 4

In small bowl, beat egg with fork, stir in blue cheese crumbles. Spoon mixture into Mushroom caps.


  • 16 large Walnut Pieces
  • 1 bunch Fresh Parsley Leaves

Step 5

Broil caps 8 to 10" from heat source for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown. Garnish each mushroom with a walnut & parsley sprig before serving.
