Macadamia Nut Crusted Brie With Balsamic Syrup

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.


  • 8 fluid ounces Balsamic Vinegar
  • 14 cup Sugar

Step 2

In small sauce pan, bring balsamic vinegar to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until half of the liquid is gone. Add sugar and stir until all sugar is melted. Remove syrup from heat, transfer to glass container and hold until needed. Wash sauce pan immediately.


  • 12 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 14 cup Macadamia Nuts, chopped

Step 3

In small bowl, combine egg and milk and beat until well mixed. In separate small bowl combine bread crumbs and 3 Tbs of Macadamia nuts, mix thoroughly. Place flour in third small bowl.


  • 2 wedges Brie, 3 oz each
  • 12 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs

Step 4

Roll Brie wedges in flour, then egg wash, then breadcrumb-nut mixture. Repeat entire breading process, then set Brie wedges aside.


  • 14 cup Canola Oil

Step 5

Heat canola oil in sauté or frying pan over medium heat, when oil is hot add brie wedges and fry to golden brown on all sides. Place wedges in oven for three or four minutes, or until cheese is soft.


  • 1 loaf Baguette
  • 1 Apple, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Fruit Compote

Step 6

Place wedges on plate, drizzle with balsamic syrup, garnish with remaining Macadamia nuts and fruit compote. Serve with apple slices and sliced baguette.
