Maple Orange Bourbon Glazed Ham

Makes: 12 servings adjust

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • 8 pounds Bone in Spiral Cut Ham

Step 2

Place the ham on a roasting rack in a roasting pan with the fat-side up. Use a small knife to lightly score the fat in a crosshatch pattern, taking care to not cut into the meat. Add about 1 c of water to the bottom of the pan. Bake the ham for 45 minutes.

  • 1 cup Orange Marmalade
  • 12 cup Bourbon
  • 12 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • pinch Cinnamon
  • pinch Ground Cloves

Step 3

Combine the marmalade, bourbon, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon and cloves in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook stirring often, until the glaze is thick and syrupy, 20-25 min.

Step 4

Brush the ham with about half of the glaze and return to the oven. Roast, glazing the ham every 15-20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches about 130 degrees, 45 min - 1 hr more. The ham will get very brown, but if the glaze starts to burn, tent with a piece of foil greased with cooking spray.

Step 5

Let rest, tented with a piece of greased foil, for about 10 minutes before carving.
