Nanaimo Bars

A traditional no-bake 3 layer Canadian dessert. Don't make these if you can't avoid temptation - they're too delicious!

Directions

Ingredients

  • FIRST LAYER
  • 12 cup Butter, melted
  • 14 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 14 cup Pasteurized Liquid Whole Eggs
  • 2 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1 cup Flaked Coconut
  • 12 cup Walnuts, chopped

Step 1

Combine ingredients and press into a 9-inch square ungreased pan. Chill for at least 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • SECOND LAYER
  • 2 cups Confectioner's (Icing) Sugar
  • 14 cup Butter, softened
  • 14 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix

Step 2

Beat all ingredients until smooth and fluffy. Spread carefully over first layer. Chill.

Ingredients

  • THIRD LAYER
  • 3 ounces AMERICAN HERITAGE Finely Grated Chocolate
  • 14 cup Butter

Step 3

Melt chocolate an butter together. Spread over second layer and chill. Cut into small bars. These are very rich and decadent so 1/2" square pieces are enough for a serving!
