One-Bowl Chocolate Chocolate Cookies

"There's a Whole Pound of Chocolate--And Very Little Flour--In These Rich, Decadent Cookies!"

Directions

 

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Ingredients

  • 16 Semisweet Baking Chocolate Squares, 1 pound

Step 2

Chop chocolate into small pieces and set half aside. Melt remaining chocolate in microwave oven or over double boiler, stirring constantly until smooth.

Ingredients

  • 34 cup Brown Sugar, C & H Pure Cane Golden brand, firmly packed
  • 14 cup Butter, 1/2 stick, softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step 3

Add sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla to melted chocolate, mixing well after each addition.

Ingredients

  • 12 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 14 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 cups Pecans, chopped (optional)

Step 4

Combine the flour and baking powder and stir into chocolate mixture along with the reserved chopped chocolate and pecans (if desired).
 

Step 5

Batter will be soft. Drop by ¼-cupfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, at least 2" apart.
 

Step 6

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are puffed and set. Cool on cookie sheets for a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
