Oriental Broccoli Slaw

Oriental Broccoli Slaw

Really quick to put together and very good!

Note: Prep time is listed as 4 hours because it needs a couple of hours for the flavors to meld. The actual working time is much shorter.



  • 1 package Oriental Flavor Ramen Noodles, 3 oz

Step 1

Remove seasoning packet from the package of noodles and set aside. Crush the ramen noodles a bit.


  • 1 12 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 14 cup Sliced Almonds

Step 2

Heat butter in a large skillet. Over medium heat, carefully toast the crushed noodles and almonds in the butter for a few minutes until golden, stirring often. Let cool and transfer to an air tight container for storage until ready to serve salad.


  • 13 cup Canola Oil, or vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar, or distilled white vinegar
  • 1 packet Seasoning From the Ramen Noodles

Step 3

In a jar with a tight fitting lid, shake together the oil, sugar, vinegar, and the reserved seasoning packet from the ramen noodles package.


  • 1 bag Broccoli Slaw Mix, 12 oz

Step 4

Toss dressing together with the slaw. Cover and refrigerate at least a few hours.


  • 2 Scallions, chopped
  • 14 cup Sunflower Seeds

Step 5

Right before serving, add the scallions, sunflower seeds, cooled noodles and almonds to the slaw and dressing mixture. Stir gently to combine. Serve!
