Not really a recipe but more of a method. Make your own patties or substitute pre-made patties from the store.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  • 3 pounds Ground Beef, for 8 oz patties. 2-1/4 lb for 6 oz patties

Step 2

Using 6-8 ounces of ground beef, form a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Place on prepared baking sheet. Create an indent in the center of the patty by gently pushing down with three or four fingers. The indent should be about 1/4 of an inch deep and 3 inches across and will help to ensure a flatter burger. Repeat with remaining ground beef.

  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning, optional

Step 3

Season patties with salt and pepper or seasoning of your choice. I usually use Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Step 4

Place baking sheet into preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until internal temperature is 160 F.

Step 5

Allow to rest about 5-10 minutes.

  • Hamburger Bun

Step 6

Serve on buns with your choice of toppings!
