Mrs Fulmer was a neighbor that lived across the creek from our house when I was growing up. She and her family were from Tennessee and she made the best pecan pie! This is her recipe.

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Egg
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Dark Corn Syrup
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step 2

Place eggs, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla in the bowl of a mixer. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Ingredients

  • 1 Refrigerated Pie Crust

Step 3

Unroll pie crust, place into a 9-inch pie plate. Fold the excess dough in and crimp the edges all the way around either with your fingers to form scallops or press with the tines of a fork.

Step 4

Pour the mixture from step 2 into the pie shell.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pecan Halves

Step 5

Place the pecan halves gently on top of the pie in a single layer covering the top of the pie.

Step 6

Bake for about 45 minutes or until the middle is set. Be careful not to over-bake or burn. Pie edges may need to be shielded with foil if they are getting brown too quickly.

Step 7

Cool before serving.
