Pineapple Upside Down Cake - Duncan Hines

An old-fashioned favorite, this Pineapple Upside Down Cake is just as fruity and moist as when your grandma made it. Create one today with Duncan Hines Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix and your own modern style.



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.


  • 12 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 20 ounces Canned Pineapple Rings, drained
  • Maraschino Cherries, drained and halved

Step 2

For topping, melt butter in ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan. Arrange pineapple slices on brown sugar. Place cherry halves, cut side up, in center of pineapple slices.


  • 1 package Pineapple Cake Mix, duncan hines moist deluxe pineapple supreme cake mix
  • 13 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 large Egg

Step 3

Prepare cake mix following packkage directions for basic recipe. Pour batter evenly over fruit in pan. Bake at 350 deg. for 43 to 48 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes in pan. Invert onto heat resistant serving plate.
