A sugary treat for kids and adults - an old high school sleepover snack!
Directions |
Ingredients
Step 1
Melt the chocolate chips in a bowl in the microwave - add in half to 3/4 jar of peanut butter and melt the two together. Mix.

Ingredients
Step 2
Pour box of cereal in a large bowl (preferably one with a lid). Pour chocolate/peanut butter mix over cereal. With a large spoon, mix the cereal until it is evenly coated with the chocolate mixture. Try not to let the pieces of cereal clump together - you want chocolate coating the individual pieces, not the clumps.

Ingredients
Step 3
This is the messy part! Pour half the bag of powdered sugar over the chocolate coated cereal and then put a lid on the bowl or cover tightly with foil. Shake the bowl to disperse the sugar throughout. After shaking/mixing a bit, add more of the sugar from the bag until the mixture looks right. You want the sugar to coat all the individual pieces of cereal - it will absorb largely into the chocolate, but there will still be enough powder to get all over your fingers when you eat!
|
Step 4
Note: You need to have the food finished before the chocolate cools down so you have to move through the steps pretty quickly. It won't work once the chocolate cools and there's no way to re-heat it once it's on the cereal.
