Quick And Easy Home Fries

A quick way to make crispy home fries. Great for breakfast or as a side dish. Potatoes may be shredded and cooked in the same manner for crispy hash browns.



  • 3 medium Yukon Gold Potato, scrubbed and cubed

Step 1

Rinse potato cubes with cold water, and drain well. Pat dry with paper towels.


  • 1 12 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 12 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Step 2

Melt butter in a large, non-stick skillet over medium heat.


  • 12 cup Onion, chopped

Step 3

Add onion and saute until translucent.


  • Kosher Salt, to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Step 4

Place potatoes in the skillet, and stir to coat with butter and oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Cover with a lid, and cook for 10 minutes without lifting lid.


  • Garlic Powder
  • Paprika

Step 6

Remove the lid, sprinkle with garlic powder and paprika. Cook for another 10 minutes, turning frequently until brown and crisp on all sides.
