Red Velvet Cake

A deep red cake for festive occasions.



  • 1 12 cups Sugar
  • 2 12 cups Cake Flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients.


  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 12 cups Canola Oil
  • 18 cup Red Food Coloring
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step 2

Mix liquid ingredients.

Step 3

Mix liquid and dry ingredients alternately in mixer. Beat 1 minute on medium.

Step 4

Bake at 350-degrees for 25-30 minutes or until done when tested with a toothpick.
