Rice Pilaf

For when you want to make rice pilaf without using a mix.

Directions

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Orzo Pasta

Step 1

Start like a risotto by melting butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Stir in the Orzo and cook until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups Long Grain White Rice
  • 12 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Fine Ground Black Pepper

Step 2

Stir in rice, salt, and pepper, cooking just a minute longer.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Chicken Broth

Step 3

Add chicken broth and stir. Turn heat to high and bring to a boil. When it starts to boil, turn heat to low, cover, and cook 20 minutes until rice is fluffy and liquid is absorbed.
 

Step 4

Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
