Scrambled Tofu

Scrambled Tofu

A super substitute for scrambled eggs!



  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 12 cup Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic

Step 1

Saute the onions in olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic.


  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 12 teaspoon Salt
  • 34 teaspoon Tumeric

Step 2

Mix the paprika, cumin, salt and tumeric together in a small bowl. Then, add to the onion and garlic mixture. Stir.


  • 18 ounces Extra Firm Tofu, drain tofu, but do not press. do not use vacuum packed!
  • 14 cup Water, as needed

Step 3

Cut the tofu into 1"-2" cubes. You can also break it with your hands. Keep the pieces large - as you stir and mix, the tofu will crumble and shrink. Fold into the onion mixture, covering all pieces with the spices. Cook 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the tofu begins to stick to the bottom of the pan, use the water to loosen it.


  • 13 cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Bragg's Liquid Aminos, optional, for taste

Step 4

Shake in the nutritional yeast, mix, and serve. We like to add a spray of Bragg's to our scramble!
