Seasoned Black Beans

  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic, chopped

Step 1

In a saute pan, heat garlic in oil on medium heat.


  • 1 Onion, chopped fine
  • 2 Jalapenos ~ Optional, chopped fine (optional)

Step 2

Add onion and jalapeno as oil begins to warm.


  • 1 teaspoon Mexican Oregano
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin

Step 3

Add oregano and cumin and saute, stirring frequently, until veggies are tender. Add a few drops of water if they begin to stick.


  • 2 cans Black Beans, 30 oz total

Step 4

Add contents of black beans and bring to a boil.

Step 5

Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, to allow flavors to blend.


  • 12 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice

Step 6

Add chopped cilantro and lime juice and stir.
