Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

Easy and flavorful! Can be eaten on its own or used as a base for chicken wing pizza, wraps, etc. Even though this recipe uses a ranch dressing packet it does not taste at all like ranch dressing.



  • 4 large Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast

Step 1

Place chicken in the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker.


  • 1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix, 1 oz. hidden valley ranch preferred
  • 1 bottle Buffalo Wing Sauce, 12 oz, frank's buffalo wing sauce preferred
  • 12 cup Chicken Stock

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the ranch dressing and the whole bottle of the wing sauce. Add chicken broth and whisk to combine. Pour over chicken breasts.

Step 3

Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 5-6 hours.


  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter

Step 4

Take chicken out and shred. While chicken is out add in butter and let it melt.

Step 5

Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker, stir to coat chicken. Cover and continue to cook on low for an additional 1/2 hour.

Step 6

NOTE: This recipe can be made completely ahead of time and frozen into portions to be used in later recipes.
