Split Pea Soup with Turkey

Now coming into the game for Ham Hock.... Turkey Bone!



  • 1 Turkey Bone
  • 12 package Green Split Peas, 16 oz
  • 4 cups Water
  • 13 cup Chopped Onion
  • 13 cup Carrot, chopped
  • 1 Dried Whole Bay Leaf
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot with lid; salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to simmer.

Step 2

Cover and simmer 1 hour or until peas are soft, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Remove bay leaf and turkey bone; cut turkey off bone and dice. Add turkey back to the soup. Serve.
