Steamed Kale

  • 12 cup Water
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 12 medium Onion, chopped

Step 1

In a large saute pan, heat the water over high heat. Add the minced garlic and onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until fragrant.


  • 10 ounces Kale, washed and chopped with large stems removed
  • dash Garlic Powder
  • dash Onion Powder

Step 2

Add the kale and more water as needed to prevent the pan from drying out. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium. Steam for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, or until the kale is bright to dark green and tender. Add the garlic and onion powders and stir.


  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce, or tamari sauce
  • 12 Lemon, juiced

Step 3

For the Dijon lemon sauce, mix the mustard, soy sauce and lemon juice in a separate bowl and add to the cooked kale, mixing gently.

Step 4

Optional, sprinkles with cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
