Sugar Cookies

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 12 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 14 teaspoon Almond Extract

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and almond extracts. With mixer on low.


  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder

Step 2

Sift flour and baking powder. Slowly add to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

Step 3

Divide dough in 2 balls, refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 5

Remove from refrigerator and roll dough out on a well-floured surface until the dough is 1/4" thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out whatever shapes you desire. Place onto cookie sheet and put in the freezer just to firm up, about 5 minutes.

Step 6

Remove from freezer and bake for 7-8 minutes or until cookies start to turn lightly golden around the edges.

Step 7

Let completely cool before decorating.
