Sweet Fried Plantains

  • 2 Ripe Plantains

Step 1

Peel and cut diagonally or round, into 1/4" thick slices.


  • 2 tablespoons Canola Oil, or vegetable oil

Step 2

Drizzle enough oil to a nonstick skillet to coat the bottom of the pan and place in on medium heat.

Step 3

When the oil begins to shimmer but not smoke, add plantains (work in batches) and fry for 1 1/2 minutes on one side, flip and cook for 1 minutes on the other side.


  • Sea Salt

Step 4

Remove plantains from pan and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt. Serve immediately.
