The Church Lady's Potato Soup

As it gets cooler here, my thoughts turn to soup. This is as easy as it is comforting!

Directions

Ingredients

  • 5 Sliced Bacon

Step 1

fry out and set aside. Save2 -3 tablespoons for pot.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Potato, cubed
  • 2 stalks Celery, chopped
  • 2 Carrots, chopped
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 cups Water

Step 2

Add potatoes, celery, carrots and onion. Pour water over. Bring to boil and cook 15 minutes or until tender.

Ingredients

  •   Salt, to taste
  •   Pepper, to taste

Step 3

Add salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 pint Milk, (1 pint = 2 cups) You can also use 1/2 and 1/2...or some combination of the two!

Step 4

Mix flour and milk (or 1/2 and 1/2) and add to pot. Simmer until thickened. Sprinkle bacon on top and serve.
