Tuna-Rice Burgers

I created these burgers tonight. Came out excellent -- and very healthy!



  • 1 can Canned Tuna, drained. Use tuna in water.
  • 13 cup cooked rice, I used a brown rice medley. Any cooked rice will probably rice
  • 1 Egg, beat
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Dill Weed
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil

Step 1

Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly. If you have time, you could let it sit in the fridge, but it's not necessary.


  • Olive Oil

Step 2

Heat a very small amount of olive oil in a non-stick frying pan, over med-high heat. Make small patties of the tuna-rice mix and place on frying pan. Fry about 4 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned.

Step 3

If you need to wait to serve them, can stay warm in the oven or toaster oven on very low heat.
